I don't think you can write the ROM through a PC3000 utility. I think you can sometimes get lucky and move the NVRAM to a donor baord with the same ROM version or you need to move the chips physically.

When you eject the drive, the system essentially verifies that there is not current activity connected with the files on the drive and unmounts it. The drive auto parks when not in use and when powered off. Again, who cares? I am done with this thread.
