Here is a few screenshots to show how to get there. I may, when I get another chance, add a few more shots showing the process to change the values for those who need to see every step.
Seagate Modify Head Temp Values (AFH)
Re: Seagate Modify Head Temp Values (AFH)
The whole point of this with MRT is to replicate the procedure done here in this video by DFL - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKY1Nj2Uleo
Re: Seagate Modify Head Temp Values (AFH)
Another question is: will this help in case of head swap?
Re: Seagate Modify Head Temp Values (AFH)
I think the point of this procedure is to avoid a head swap. In most scenarios where a single head is weak or dead, I've been very successful with a head swap and reading the remaining surface at full speed. That said, I suppose it is possible that it might help with a set of donor heads too.

Luke, this video is easier to understand for those who don't read Chinese: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23NMtMQK6JIlcoughey wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:58 pm The whole point of this with MRT is to replicate the procedure done here in this video by DFL - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKY1Nj2Uleo
