I have to admit, I was surprised when I noticed it today. I just noticed that it would appear that when I looked at the version of the software, it shows an older version, even though it is really running the latest 2.1.3.0 from January 2019. Which is still quite old compared to PC3000 which had an update June 2019.Amarbir[CDR-Labs] wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:00 pm Hello Luke ,

Why are family codes 8C and A5 detected as Rosewood by PC3K and Cheops/CheopsLite by MRT?

Re: Seagate Families Support by PC3000 & MRT
If only MRT was not so glitchy it would be a great product. If they concentrated on the basics rather than adding new functionality I would use it more.
Re: Seagate Families Support by PC3000 & MRT
It is because both are listed and ACE has chosen to go with the Rosewood + FamilyID, while MRT chooses the more unique name in the name. Here is what we see in terminal with CTRL-L of a drive that has a FamilyID of AF.
Model: ST2000LM007Janus.R1.SATA.Rosewood.Mule.Servo376.Rap30.4K + SMR Despo DFW B
Product FamilyId: AF, MemberId: 01
PN: 1R8174-570
Serial: ZDZ5....
Firmware EB01
So, I assume that ACE will call it Rosewood_AF while MRT will call it Janus. As of right now, neither officially support it, though we are able to work with it just like any other Rosewood without the unique utility.
