Stella video repair is also pretty good. But tends to work well with only some file types.

Not perfect by any means. But like most DR software Stellar works when other software doesn't. Personally I do not like the company. But if it works it works.

Has anyone used CNW recovery before?

I did a scan of 1% of a 465 gb hard drive and its producing thousand files totalling over 500 gb and counting. How is this possible?
