UFS Explorer & Lost EXT3

Post by lcoughey »

We are finishing up a WD MyBook Live NAS with a significant amount of bad sectors which are preventing access to the main EXT3 formatted partition where the client files are stored. (We cloned the drive with DeepSpar Disk Imager 4)

After a full scan of the drive with UFS Explorer Professional, we were able to find the partition and get, what appears to be a mostly full file tree. I am not showing the file tree for client confidentiality, so you'll just have to trust me on that.

I honestly did not expect to find any parts of the file tree, let alone one that looks fully intact. This is just another example of how great a data recovery program UFS Explorer Professional has become. And, with the help of the DeepSpar Imager map of bad sectors, UFS will split the file tree of damaged files to a separate folder path, help us and our client quickly identify any files affected by bad sectors.
