Now that SR 6.1 rel 2 is out, I no longer need to use the RapidSpar or do head swaps or PCB swaps. In place data recovery is the way to go. Oh wait! I live in the real world too. :lol:

I wonder how good Steve's ram tester will be compared to passmark's ram tester?

Doing a similar test to the one in Post #1, SpinRite 6.1 reports the drive is 100% healthy, but is it?
HDD Scan says something different...

By trying to reproduce the test done in original post which tested SR 6.0, I wanted to test SR 6.1 the same way, so I used HDDScan in-place of MHDD (because I still cannot get MHDD to see any drives), even thought the number of slow sectors is less for this drive, the drive isn't quite as healthy as SpinRite reports.

In SR 6.1 release 3a there's a new NOREWRITE command-line, wonder what it's for?
Could it be something related to processing bad blocks on LEVEL 2?
