Hey there,
We are a computer repair shop in Regina, SK. We do basic data rec, utilizing software, however we would like to get into PCB swapping, chip reprogramming and part swaps (clean room work).
Courses typically go for around $5,000. Before jumping into something I want to get some opinions. I know Dwayne has been doing this for a long while .
Any recommendations on what to invest in ie, education and hardware wise.
Thanks
Robert - CBAS Computer Services and RescueTECH

Re: Good distance eductation opportunities for data rec
I've never been trained, so I am probably not the best to respond to this question. I'd be very leery of any course, let alone one that offers online training.

To further this post, you would be far better off partnering with a good clean room lab you can trust and communicate with. Gradually build your tool and skill sets as you need and just outsource the stuff you are unable to handle in-house.
