Just for fun, I cloned a 250GB HDD with the RapidSpar. Then ran SR on LEVEL 2 on the same 250GB HDD.
I wanted to compare what the RapidSpar does with a bad/unrecoverable sector vs what SR does with the same sector.
This drive only had 2 unrecoverable sectors.
SAMSUNG HM250JI => RapidSpar Unit
Sectors Read Successfully: 488,397,166 (100.00%), Error: 2 (0.00%), Skipped: 0 (0.00%)
SAMSUNG HM250JI => SpinRite 6.1

I have had enough, deleted all my accounts with that clown.
Just wrote up new blogpost "And now I’m done with Steve Gibson (and SpinRite)".

Saw that and wondered about it too ..
What are you setting up with the G-list clearing an SR not detecting a thing

Just research, seeing if it's reproduceable, and trying to figure out why it's happening.
1st Theory: Only the data is corrupted and the drive cannot ECC it, but the actual sector is fine.
2nd Theory: Clearing the G-List doesn't undo reallocation.
3rd Theory: SR could be adding the sector to the P-List???

Well I have a WD2500BJKY-75F4T0 drive full of bad sectors, should be perfect for testing out "SR NOREWRITE".
