There are a few advantages to using IPCop as a router for a multiple IP internet connection:
1. Minimal system requirements
2. Simple to install
3. Runs and reboots fast
4. Nice web interface
Today, I discovered another nice feature...it is very simple to fix when a network card fails. Rather than having to figure the ins and outs of linux command line, simply type "setup" and follow the menu. In this case, rather than installing a new card, I just disabled our public access on one card and then pointed my internal network to that card. Saved my changes, moved the network cable to the other card and, voila!, we are back in business.
I am so glad that I didn't waste my money on an expensive CISCO or HP router.
