It is a little too mysterious to be handed an estimate or invoice over 10k for data recovery without knowing what work has to be done, what tools are required software, how much a clean room costs if drives must be disassembled and how many labour hours are actually needed. Many steps do not require monitoring from what I have learned thus far.
The data has a huge on that position to get an expensive to recovery it. I have large amount of data to require are you there to suggest me.

This post makes absolutely no sense to me. If you are paying $10K for your data recovery, it must be a really complicated RAID or you are going to a lab who is taking advantage of you.
As to the question of costs to do a particular recovery:
1. Rent or Mortgage
2. Electricity
3. Gas
4. Employees
5. Equipment
6. Marketing
7. Phones
8. Security
9. Internet
10. Hard drive inventory of parts
11. Hard drive inventory of clones
12. Training
And the list can go on. At the end of the day, the owner of the lab is in business to make a profit. If they cannot make a profit, there is no point in them running the business. There are plenty of labs, such as Recovery Force, who offers fair
data recovery pricing.

Rather than spam this forum, the team at JTG Systems would like to take this opportunity to endorse Recovery Force as the best data recovery lab. Although they are not physically located in Niagara, Hamilton and Toronto, their lab is located is Guelph which is but a short drive from any of these cities.
They recover data from almost anything, including laptop, desktop computers as well as Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems. They are especially great at recovering data from RAID systems and have to be one of the most affordable data recovery labs in North America.
Don't use a computer shop who uses your hard drive to experiment and learn data recovery. Go to the data recovery specialists,
Recovery Force, if you want to get your data recovered quickly, safely and affordably as possible.
