It turns out that MRT tries to write a file when listing destination drive in DE, which triggers Trend Micro's behavior monitoring to block MRT and the subsequent list of destination drives does not populate. So, now that I have a working system, I plan to put it through its paces to see how it stacks up in the real world.
If you have any questions about the functionality of this system that I can test, list them in this forum thread. I cannot guarantee that I will get to them all, but will do my best.

- Can MRT do enough to compete with other professional data recovery tools?
- Is MRT destined to be another disappointment with great sales, little support and virtually no updates as we have seen in the past from other Chinese vendors?
- Basically, is it worth the money?
