When we assessed this drive, heads 1 was barely reading any sectors at all while head 0 was reading almost perfectly. We gave the client two options:

Option 1 - No head change, take what we can get ($350 CAD)
Option 2 - head change, get 75% or more ($900 + cost of parts)

The client chose option 1 and our team went to work. No knowing that a head change is off the table, we pushed the drive to at least read the full file table and then pushed it a little more to read what it could of the targeted files. To our amazement, with the pushing and prodding we did, we were able to recover more than 99.9% of the client's files, all for $350.
