Hitachi HDD from Netgear Stora MS2110

Greetings. I realize there is a Hitachi specific form here, but I'm not sure this belongs there.
I own a Netgear Stora "NAS" device. I thought my issue with connectivity was the well known end of life for that device. So, I removed the hard drive. Turns out, the drive itself is "frozen".
I have several SATA HDD's which i've not used in several years. This is one of them. I bought a USB / SATA adaptor to explore my old data. When I attempted to do so with this particular drive, no luck. It simply makes no sound when the power is turn on, on the USB adaptor, unlike other HDD's the same age which are functioning fine.
I scanned an image of the top of the drive for the numbers, etc. Not sure how to share it w/out picture file upload option.
Please advise. Thank you!

If the drive is not responding and the data on it of any significant value, you might want to consider sending it in for an assessment.

Agreed.
I've never been in a position where I needed to seek out a data recover specialist. I am apprehensive about the notion of sending it anywhere, of course. (e.g. lost or damaged in delivery, mostly).
What might this type of assessment entail?
Thank you for reading, and your reply!
(is there a recommended web service for sharing imgs to this forum? i've been off line for a fairly long while. not sure what services are best for that anymore. i wanted to show the img which shows model, serial, etc., unless that wouldn't be useful)

Could it be a PUIS issue (Power Up In Standby)?
What is the model of the drive?
Does your software (eg CrystalDiskInfo) see anything at all?
It could be a PCB fault, in which case there may be a simple DIY opportunity.

Using the SATA / USB adaptor, I did not attempt to view the drive from the OS.
[EDIT]
Confirmed: the BIOS is not recognizing it.
So far only tested as connected via the USB adaptor. I have another system I can test with as well, and HDD's and USB sticks w/ Linux OS. This system is Windows 10.
I am certainly willing to entertain any DIY ideas.

As Franc suggested, it could be a PUIS issue or a damaged PCB. Of course, there may be other things, but based on your description, it is likely one of these two. I'm not aware of a NAS using PUIS, but it is possible, so I'd tend towards the damaged PCB.
You can post photos as an attachment, as long as they are 2MiB or smaller. If you could post a photo of both sides of the PCB (circuit board), we might be able to see the damage or point you to a few spots to test.
If you'd prefer to play it safe, you are welcome to go to our main site, RecoveryForce.com, to create a ticket and send the drive to our lab for an assessment.
