I've always loved that UFS Explorer has been able to open a VHDX file as a source without the need to mount it to Windows, as needed by competing recovery applications. But, now, UFS Explorer has taken it to a new level with the added function of having a VHDX as the destination image file for disk imaging, not only in Windows, but also confirmed to work in the Linux app and presumable within the Mac OS app as well.

While Mac OS and Linux don't have the benefit of the DeepSpar USB Stabilizer, Windows does. So, within Windows, using the USB stabilizer and UFS Explorer, we are now able to create a task, similar to what professionals do with PC3000 and DE, where we choose to image to VHDX in the background so that every sector we touch, gets imaged. This way, we can choose to only image the sectors connected to a specific file, group of files, folders or image the used sectors by bitmap, reducing the amount of wear on the drive. And, with the help of the DeepSpar USB Stabilizer, it can handle unstable drives with bad sectors and other instabilities where various levels of software, hardware and physical resets help work around the bad zones.

All in all, UFS Explorer disk imaging is getting more powerful with each release.
