For whatever reason, MRT released an updated version of the MRT ultra hardware over the summer and made very little effort that I can see to promote it. Here is a summary of what I have been able to find out about it:
- PCIe card
- no more IDE channel
- 2 extra power ports added (for control of power for drives connected directly to system board SATA ports)
- faster transfer speeds possible
