Andriod 13 GMail Notifications Stopped

My mother's phone stopped pushing gmail notifications to her Fitbit Versa 2, presumably after the Android 13 update came out to her Samsung S22 Ultra. We tried repowering the phone & watch and even reinstalled the app without any luck. Fitbit tech support were unhelpful.

I played with power settings and notifications for gmail within the phone's settings with no success. It wasn't until I opened the gmail app, settings, clicked on the actual gmail account and then Email notifications where I found hers was set to high priority only. So, I changed it to All and voila! Problem solved.

I got a Fitbit Versa 2 for my gf last week. Struggling to get it to sync her steps between the various apps: Fitbit, Health Connect & Google Fit. It's supposed to automatically sync with an app called Second Nature which is what she got because she's diagnosed as pre-diabetic. There's probably a setting buried in one of those apps which is causing the issue.
