UFS - What do do with PC3000 DE Map?

Post by lcoughey »

Playing with the demo, I've determined:

1. Right click on the root drive and select "Enable map of bad blocks"
2. task has to be closed for the map file to load

From there, I cannot see how one could know which files are good or damaged. A test and report doesn't seem to cross reference the map, either. So, how does one know which files are good or damaged, based on the sector map?

I don't see it documented with R-Explorer. I believe the R-Explorer is going to be focused more on the consumer side while the UFS Explorer version will be focused on data recovery professionals. With so much overlap right now, I suspect it may take some time before the line is more clearly drawn.

You can upgrade from R-Explorer Pro to UFS Explorer Pro, if you contact them about it. Perhaps Yuriy will provide some instruction on how to do so here.

We have flexible upgrade policy and you may upgrade from one product to another with good discounts (up to 100% of previous product price).
Regarding Map of bad blocks. You have next options:
1) Mark bad blocks as I/O Error
2) Replace bad blocks with Pattern
In first cases you will get error on files with bad blocks in process of saving data.

Is there any way to add the ability to cross reference that map when we do a file test and size calculation? And, at the very least, be able to export the list of damaged files, preferably a list of good files too?
