Authorization: The client authorizes Recovery Force Inc. (RFI) to conduct an evaluation of the media sent to determine the nature of the damage and provide an estimate of recovery cost and timing.
Costs and Payment
- Estimates: A cost estimate is provided after receipt of hardware and initial review. RFI will notify the client via email or telephone should additional time or charges apply prior to commencement. Work will not continue without client authorization.
- Payment: All amounts owing must be paid in full prior to the release of data or hardware. Accepted methods include Cash, Certified Cheque, Money Order, Visa, MasterCard, or pre-authorized Purchase Order.
- Late Payments: Subject to interest at 1.8% per month.
Hardware and Data
Pre-Existing Damage: The client acknowledges hardware may be damaged prior to arrival. RFI is not responsible for damage in transit. Furthermore, the recovery process itself may cause further damage to hardware or data; RFI assumes no liability for such occurrences.
Abandoned Property: Any media left at RFI for more than 30 days without communication is considered abandoned and becomes the property of RFI. We will make reasonable attempts to contact the client via phone and email prior to any media destruction.
Data Retention and Security
- Holding Period: Recovered data is held for fourteen (14) days to allow the customer to review the recovery. After this timeframe, data is securely erased from our systems.
- Confidentiality: RFI agrees to maintain absolute confidentiality. Your data will never be shared or viewed except for the purpose of verifying recovery quality.
Liability and Limitation of Damages
The client agrees not to hold RFI or its subcontractors, suppliers, agents, or employees liable for any damages resulting from the work, including but not limited to loss of business continuity, profits, customer lists, or incidental damages.
Online Store Terms
Products sold through the online store are sold "as is" for use as parts by data recovery professionals. No refunds or exchanges will be given. We reserve the right to limit quantities or sales to any person or geographic region.
