Re: Platter Swap Without Alignment Issues

So I've confirmed that you can rotate a platter 180 degrees on Dragonfly2 family with no problems afterward.

Re: Now that is a motherboard!

You're right, I only saw the 6 ports on that Asus one. I didn't notice the other 4. So I guess it has two more than mine. Either way, I'm only using 4 of them for the front hot-swap bays in my case. Then I've got two M.2 SSDs (one for OS and another for my !Profiles folder and local files). You'd be...

Re: Now that is a motherboard!

I still like my board better: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard ... -rev-10#kf

One less PCIe slot, but with how close together they are on that board, I wouldn't be able to use two of them anyway.

Plus, my board has more SATA ports and USB ports.

Re: 2.5" to 3.5" drive conversion

Dude, I've been looking for something exactly like this!!! Normally I use the WD Velociraptor sleds for this purpose, but I've got this HDD wiping tower that has these funny metal clips coming down from the top that get stuck if I try to insert one of those sleds.

I'm buying four of them right now.

This is the only one that might get me to pay to upgrade to the new version. I needed this a few months back and had to jump through some hoops to get the data out of the VDI.

Re: What is hard drive data recovery?

What's sad is, he didn't even properly define data recovery by any standard of what data recovery means.

Re: Western Digital MyPassport Ultra vs EasyStore

Likely the only differences might be the cache size and whether or not the encryption is enabled in the firmware. Besides that, no differences in these drives.

Not exactly. WD bought HGST's hard drive division, so technically they own them and can sell them under their own brand now if they want to.

Re: RECOVER PICTURES AND VIDEOS FROM a SD CARD

There is never a need to format any media to attempt recovery. That's just something idiots who have no clue started doing as their normal practice. A hidden folder is no more difficult to recover than any other folder. "Hidden" is just a file system flag that tells windows to hide it. Dat...
